The Awards Ceremony for the 19th Mini Film Festival took place at HSL Tower, marking the culmination of four unforgettable days, filled with the magic of storytelling and power of filmmaking.

From July 6 to 9, HSL and the adjoining mall showcased over 60 short films and feature-length movies. Thousands of visitors from all walks of life attended the screenings.

Among the many outstanding films screened, “Kumbang” won Best Short Film at the awards. Jury member, including veteran filmmaker Rashid Salleh, praised the film for raising thought-provoking questions.

The success of the festival owes much to the exceptional talents of the filmmakers and festival director Yow Chong Lee, of Universiti Malaysia Sarawak’s Applied and Fine Arts Faculty.
